About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Backend API Engineer to join our core engineering team as we build a next-generation Agentic AI platform from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, embraces ownership, and enjoys building modern, scalable platforms from scratch.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable backend APIs that power multiple modules of the platform. You'll collaborate with frontend engineers, AI developers, and DevOps to deliver modular, multi-tenant-ready services that are optimized for both SaaS and enterprise deployments.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for platform modules (e.g., Agents, Workflows, Deployments).
- Build microservices architecture focused on scalability, maintainability, and observability.
- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and tenant-aware logic in APIs.
- Collaborate with architects and product managers on system architecture and data modeling.
- Containerize services using Docker and support CI/CD pipelines with the DevOps team.
- Integrate external systems such as databases, vector stores, cloud AI APIs, and third-party platforms.
- Write unit and integration tests and actively participate in peer code reviews.
- Monitor and optimize API performance, and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
Good to Have:
- Experience working on AI/ML platforms or agent frameworks.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
- Exposure to vector databases, LLMs, or semantic search implementations.
- Integrations with third-party platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Slack.
- Contributions to open-source backend frameworks or developer tools.
